Description: Papyrus sheet, 28.5 x 21.5 cm. Damaged. Broken into 12 horizontal strips (plus one lost at the top of the recto) increasing in height from 2 cm at bottom to 3 cm at actual top. Recto V/H, verso H/V. Top recto = bottom verso. In black ink 22 lines of writing on the recto and 22 lines (including address) on the verso. The loss of one strip at the top of the recto has caused damage to line 1; further loss of text in several lines due to holes and breaking slong the folds. Address at the bottom of the verso.

Contents: On his mission in Nubia the necropolis scribe 9Hwty-ms writes to his son Bw-th-Imn and 5d-m-dwA.t and 1m-Sri about family affairs and mail problems, telling them he is well taken care of by his superior. They should pray to the gods to bring him back safely. He further talks about ancient documents stored in a tomb and several matters, i.a. a commission of his superior and the making of spears.
