Description: Papyrus sheet, 17 x 21.5 cm. Complete. Recto V/H and from the sheet join (just in line 4) H/V, verso first V/H and then H/V. Top recto = bottom verso. In black ink 9 lines on the recto and 6 lines (including address) on the verso. Address at the bottom of the verso. Correction by the scribe in verso line 4. See Remarks.

Contents: A letter from the general of Pharaoh (PAy-anx ) to the necropolis scribe 7ry concerning the matter of the two policemen who had uttered some charges. The scribe is ordered to join up with the lady NDm.t and the agent of the general PAy-5w-wbn, to investigate the case and then put the policemen in baskets and throw them in the river by night, unseen. The general further expresses his doubts about the position of Pharaoh and orders some gold and silver to be sent to him by boat. See Remarks.

Contents: According to the address in verso 6, this letter was written by the scribe of the general Ony-3nmw and addressed to the agent of the general PAy-5w-wbn who handed it over to the necropolis scribe 7ry . The affair of the two policemen is also the subject of P. Berlin P 10488 (LRL 34) and P. Berlin P 10489 (LRL 35).
