Remarks: Description: a ccording to Černý, Ostraca Deir El Medineh I, p. 10 n. 2, O. DeM 040 and 041 are from the same vase. Comparison of the photographs of O. DeM 00 040 (plate 22 A) and O. DeM 00 042 (plate 26 A) renders it likely that 00 042 is also from this vase. O. DeM 0 0032 - O. DeM 0 0047 were all written by the same scribe; see Donker van Heel, Haring, Writing in a Workmen's Village , 72-82. The beginning of O. DeM 040 is O. Strasbourg H 42, O. DeM 040 line 1 being line 6 of the ostracon if it were complete; for the sake of clarity, the numbering of the lines in O. DeM I is retained; O. DeM 040 + O. Strasbourg H 42 also belong to O. DeM 041 + O. Berlin P. 12626 (+ O. DeM 042 ?); they are too large to put into one datasheet. Description, Publication: for the number of lines on O. Strasbourg 42 and some corrections, see Mueller, Lingua Aegyptia 7 (2000), 276-277.
