Description: Papyrus sheet, 28 x 22 cm. Damaged. Broken into 17 horizontal strips. Palimpsest. Recto V/H , verso H/V . Top recto = bottom verso. In black ink 16 lines on the recto and 7 lines (including address) on the verso. Address at the bottom of the verso (see Remarks). A large gap between the beginnings of lines 1 and 2 on recto and further gaps as a result of folding have caused loss of writing in several places. Corrections by the scribe in recto 13, 14 and verso 4.

Contents: A letter from the General of Pharaoh (PAy-anx ) to the two chief workmen, the scribe Bw-th-Imn , the guardian Kr and all the necropolis workmen, informing them that the necropolis scribe 7ry and the troop captain and prophet 5d-sw-1r have reached him (in Nubia), and expressing his satisfaction with the way they carried out his assignments. He confirms that the five maidservants he gave are destined for the whole gang and further commands Bw-th-Imn to have some metalwork made.

Remarks: Description: In his description, LRL XII, Černý remarks that the address, if any, is covered by the frame. The photograph on pl. 32 in Janssen, LRLC , shows this to be the case (line 7).
