Description: Pottery (vase fragment), 10 x 8 cms. Damaged. Two sides. Obverse: remains of eight lines in black ink. Reverse: remains of two lines in black ink. On both obverse and reverse all edges are broken off and on obverse most lines are effaced. Top obverse = top reverse.

Remarks: Provenance: note that many of the Strasbourg ostraca were excavated by J.E. Quibell in the Ramesseum in 1895-1896 and given to the Bibliothèque Nationale et Universitaire by W.M. Flinders Petrie in 1918 (Koenig, Ostraca Strasbourg , 1; Spiegelberg, ZÄS 58 (1923), 25, note 4). Date(s) mentioned: the published transcription is inadequate in several places; in obv. 5 read I Smw sw 6 and in obv. 6 read sw 7 (instead of 5 + tA ); cf. Müller, LingAeg 7 (2000), 277. Date(s) attributed: belongs to the group of journal of the necropolis texts O. DeM 0040-0045. In case Ra-mry is on duty on I Smw sw 7 the text dates from year 30 of Ramesses III (Demaree).
