Description: Papyrus sheet, 22.5 x 22 cm. Damaged. Palimpsest. The papyrus was folded from bottom to top, but only the top fold is still visible. Recto V/H, verso H/V. Top recto = bottom verso. In black ink 8 lines of writing on the recto and 6 lines (including address) on the verso. Some gaps in the middle of the papyrus, causing loss of writing in line 4 of the recto. Verso much rubbed, causing loss of writing in lines 1 and 3-6. Address at the bottom of the verso.

Provenance: Acquired by the museum in 1945 from the library of F.Ll. Griffith, who had bought the papyrus from A. C. Macintosh in 1929 with the accompanying information that it had come (together with P. Berlin 10494) "from a tomb in Upper Thebes in the year 1801".
