Description: Papyrus sheet, 24 x 22.5 cm. Damaged. Several folds discernible in the lower half of the verso, each ca. 2.3 cm in height. Recto V/H, verso H/V. Top recto = bottom verso. In black ink 17 lines of writing on the recto and 8 lines (including address) on the verso. Top edge broken off, causing damages in line 1 of the recto; and a gap near the lower left border on the recto, resulting in lacunae in lines 16 and 17 of the recto and line 1 of the verso. Address at the bottom of the verso.

Remarks: Provenance: Contrary to what Edwards states ( JEA 68, 126) Bankes acquired his papyri during his second visit in 1819. Dating: The arguments by Edwards for a 19th dynasty date are not convincing, see Winand in RdE 46 (1995), 197-8, who concludes to a date in the period Ramesses V - IX.
