Description: | Papyrus, light brown to white (recto), light to dark brown (verso), 33 x 120 cm, four sheet joins at ca. 13 cm, 37 cm, 61 cm and 85.5 cm from left edge of recto; see Remarks. Black ink, recto (H/V) plan of royal tomb with captions in hieratic (numbered from right to left P 1-4, W a-d, X a-c, Y a-d and Z a, b by Carter-Gardiner). Verso (V/H) remains of 3 or 4 widely spaced columns: verso I 13 lines, verso II 14 lines (12-14 separate column to the left of 9-11), verso III 8 lines, verso IV(?) unknown number of lines. Top recto = top verso. Damaged; lower half of recto and verso lost; piece of unkown length missing to the right of recto. Beginnings of recto W b, verso II 11 and 13 lost, ends of recto P 1-4, verso II 10 and 11, verso III 1 and 3-8 lost; gaps in verso I 1-4, verso II 2, 3, 13 and 14, verso III 1. Unknown number of lines lost at bottom of verso II and to the left of verso III. |

Contents: | Recto: plan of royal tomb (of Ramesses IV) with captions indicating measures of rooms, and mentioning painting and chiselling. Verso I: account of measuring a royal tomb (of Ramesses V?). Verso II 1: a payment made to 6A . Verso II 2 - III 2: division of goods belongig to the scribe Imn-nxt among his children and (his wife) 6A-wr.t-m-Hb . The items divided include garments, woodwork, mats, honey, and oil. Verso III 3-8: fragmentary necropolis journal mentioning i.a. the delivery of grain rations, the gang going up (to work), the name of King Ramesses VII, and the temple of Ramesses III. |

Remarks: | Description: measurements taken by B. Haring at Turin in April 1995. Papyrus as mounted at that time included some small unpublished fragments to the right of the recto (not joining). Provenance: papyrus fragments found in tombs 1336, 1337 and 1340 at Deir el-Medina belong to the same document according to J. Cern and G. Botti: Bruyère, Rapport sur les fouilles de Deir El Medineh 1933-1934 , 79 and 80. Dates mentioned: verso II 2 has sw 4 and not sw 5 (cf. Kitchen, Ramesside Inscriptions VI, 371, 3 ); see facsimile in Pleyte-Rossi, Papyrus de Turin , pl. LXXII and Cern MSS.3.714.
